Salford Priors School is a Church of England School.  It was founded in 1656 by William Perkins.  He was a local benefactor who wanted to provide education for all the children of the village of Salford Priors. The oldest part of the present building dates from 1860.  Two classrooms and a large hall were built in the 1960's

Our school now consists of three  classrooms within the main building and another in the course of construction which is  due to be finished by the start of the Autumn term of 2000.  There is also a large assembly hall with school meals kitchen and a library.  A hard play area is at the front of the school and a playing field at the rear.

The school is classed as a mixed primary school for children 4-11.  It is maintained by Warwickshire Education Authority and as a voluntary controlled school, it has strong links with the local parish church which is part of the Coventry Diocese.

The children's entrance is at the front of the school. This is kept secure during school hours and visitors are welcomed through the side entrance that is controlled via an intercom system.

We aim to provide a happy and stimulating environment where children can enjoy life and so develop to their full potential.  Discipline is firm but fair and pupils are encouraged to accept responsibility for their own behaviour.

It is our aim to give a child a better understanding of themselves and the world in which they live, by helping them acquire the skills and knowledge to enable them to use language and numbers effectively.

We aim to instil respect for religious and moral values, so that they may be tolerant of other races, religions and ways of life.

We aim to help pupils develop lively and enquiring minds, to develop physical skills and creativity so that they are able to appreciate human achievements and aspirations.
